Francisca Rendic | ART JEWELLERY

“I consider jewellery to be a small scale work of art, a miniature sculpture worn to reinforce our personality and enhance our identity.”

Francisca is a qualified architect with a master’s degree in Jewellery Design from USNW, and she has always been deeply engaged in the arts. Her passion for the arts began when she fell in love with painting, which only grew stronger during her studies in architecture. However, it was her love for jewellery that truly captured her heart.

Always on the lookout for fresh and unique jewellery ideas and designs, Francisca started making her own pieces. It was during this time that she realized her true calling was to become a jeweller. Her passion and obsession with jewellery became the driving force behind her creative journey.

Francisca‘s approach to jewellery is deeply personal and reflects her life’s narrative. Drawing inspiration from valuable items she has collected along the way, she creates meaningful jewellery pieces that bring to life memorable events while also serving as a reminder of her personal history. When she finally made jewellery her life’s work, she established her own business, which bears her name and represents her own self-made masterpieces. Each piece is imbued with her distinct spirit and powerful energy.

Meaningful Jewellery

Francisca‘s jewellery is more than just an accessory – it’s a statement of your personality, emotions, and sense of belonging. Her pieces are designed to speak for themselves and provide you with strength and a unique identity.

Francisca‘s jewellery captures and transmits identity, history, culture, and uniqueness, producing pieces that contain stories, locations, and identities. Her jewellery creates a profound discussion with the memories that the object carries, forming a bond between the owner and the piece.

Her creations are showcased in exquisite collections, each with its own tale that conveys a distinct feeling of history, culture, and uniqueness. The result is a collection of meaningful jewellery, with each piece reflecting a narrative, a location, and an identity. This deepens the relationship between the owner and the memories conveyed by the piece, forming a strong bond.

All of Francisca‘s pieces are handcrafted using high-quality Australian raw materials, including sterling silver, gold, and precious and semi-precious stones. These materials are designed to last forever, so they can be passed down through generations.

You can find Francisca‘s work displayed in art galleries, museums, and her workshop on Bronte Road in Sydney, Australia.

Aim:

“I want to give people the joy of wearing art on their bodies. A tiny scale of art that you can carry around with you every day and feel unique and powerful.”

Jewellery that captures Identity

The Andes Ring

The Andes Ring is a unique piece of jewellery named after Chile’s Andes Mountains. Its design was inspired by the silhouette of mountain peaks, which appear to blend into one another from different perspectives as you look up at them from the Chilean lowlands.

The Andes Ring embodies this idea by featuring four separate rings, each with a distinct form that symbolizes a vertical part of the mountain. When the four rings are put together, their order can be changed, resulting in a different overall form for the ring. This design concept mirrors the way the mountains change their silhouette as you view them from different angles.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Andes Ring is a stunning work of art that captures the natural beauty of the Andes Mountains. Whether worn as a statement piece or a symbol of your connection to nature, this ring is sure to impress.

The Endless Collection

The Endless ring design was chosen as one of the 50 best innovative ideas in Chile’s CREA design competition. In fact, it’s a reinterpretation of the Möbius strip made of interlocking rings that connect the beginning with the end, resulting in a continuous movement in an infinite loop. It actually seeks to represent the continued strength of the person carrying it.

The Endless collection includes Endless studs, Endless earrings, an Endless Necklace, an Endless bangle, and, of course, the Endless ring. Sterling silver and gold are both options.

Bespoke Jewellery

When you choose to work with the creator to design your unique piece of jewellery, you get the opportunity to participate in a one-of-a-kind discussion throughout the development process. This means that you can give your input and collaborate with the creator to ensure that your vision for the piece is realized.

Additionally, you have the option to customize a jewellery design to your liking, tailoring it to meet your specific needs and preferences. This ensures that the piece you receive is not only beautiful but also personal and unique to you.

To make the experience even more special, you can also stamp your fingerprint on the piece as a mark of your work. This adds a truly personal touch to the jewellery, making it even more meaningful and special to you.

With the creator’s expert guidance and your personal input, the end result is a piece of jewellery that is truly one-of-a-kind and reflects your individual style and personality. It’s an experience that you’ll never forget and a piece of jewellery that you’ll cherish for years to come.

Statement pieces

Make your jewellery piece remarkable, one of a kind, a statement piece that you are going to wear to make you feel powerful. The designs can be altered for every customer, adding gemstones or be modified for every metal you wish to have your jewellery made of.

Testimonial

“I have always trusted Francisca‘s talent and taste and in fact, I have several earrings from her collections and a wedding ring that both me and my husband love. For that reason, I was very confident when I asked her to make me a new ring inspired by one of her previous works, the ring Caracoles.
However, when she handed me the ring over, I was left completely speechless. It was not only a completely original creation but also of incredible beauty. Francisca had achieved a very natural but at the same time sophisticated work, with very marine-like shapes and texture changes that embellish the material even more (yellow gold). In addition, she managed to embed the small diamond that I gave her in a very subtle way, emulating a beach snail and actually making the diamond look much nicer than it actually was. In summary, the ring exceeded all my expectations. Super happy with your work, Francisca! Needless to say, I am also very satisfied with her responsibility, since all the work was done at the agreed time.”

Testimonial

We had the pleasure recently in meeting Francisca, a very talented designer.
Her passion and creativity was something we could see in her jewellery – all beautifully made, with its own soul.
The idea was to make our wedding bands ourselves under the guidance of a jeweller. We were after something “handmade”, not ordinary, something more organic which would look a little like lava formations, volcanic material, reminiscent of New Zealand and something that had been melted as part of its creation, something which has a connection to nature and shows various facets and personality – perfect but also random.
Francisca was open to this idea from day one, she invited us over to her workshop and worked with us through the idea and eventually in the making of our rings – we are absolutely happy with where we ended up. We love our rings – they are not only special, they are unique!
Francisca showed a great deal of care and with an open mind, nothing was impossible, and we are really happy that we found her. She is one of the best designers we have met.
